Tom Hutchinson FRICS - Director

After starting his career at Vigers as a trainee in 1972, Tom joined John D Wood where he stayed for 6 years, working mostly in the professional residential and rating sectors. He then formed Egerton Commercial which undertook residential and commercial work all over the UK, based from the headquarters in Mount Street, Mayfair. After 20 successful years, JSS Egerton was formed, a joint venture company with Jackson-Stops & Staff. Tom is multi disciplinary, but specialises in Leasehold Reform and development consultancy. His clients range from institutions and listed property companies to private individuals.

James Rangeley MRICS – Director

James is a commercial and residential surveyor and another specialist in Leasehold Reform. He joined JSS Egerton in 2006 after 2 years of agency at Jackson-Stops & Staff. His other principle areas of practice include investment agency and development consultancy. James has appeared at Tribunals as an expert witness and his clients include high net worth individuals, property companies, developers and Charities.

Bruce Ruddle MRICS – Consultant

Bruce joined JSS Egerton in 2010 as a consultant having worked for 10 years on the client side for Capital & Regional and Invista Real Estate. Bruce has a wealth of experience in development, investment and asset management, primarily in the commercial sector. He acts for institutions, property companies and private individuals and has been involved in numerous projects throughout the UK.

Graham Pitts FRICS – Consultant

Graham is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors of over 24 years' standing, originally qualifying in 1976. Before joining JSS Egerton, Graham spent 14 years at John D Wood, during which time he was partner/director for 8 years, heading the Professional & Management Departments and was responsible for Landlord & Tenant matters throughout the UK. He is now a consultant with JSS Egerton, undertaking our Landlord and Tenant, valuation and agency instructions.

Emma Biddle – Graduate Surveyor

Emma joined JSS Egerton in May 2011 having worked for a private residential lettings and property management company for two years. She graduated from Oxford Brookes in 2008 with a Degree and Masters in Real Estate Management. She is currently working towards completion of her APC and assists with our professional residential work and commercial agency.

Angela McFarlane – Team Secretary

Angela, our team secretary, keeps the office running smoothly. Efficient and organised, she has an MA in anthropology which comes in very useful when it comes to keeping the team in order!
